It was learnt that the victim identified as Mr Marcus Okeke, was abducted by the suspects to an unknown destination on Monday.

Okeke, was a student of the department of Accountancy before his untimely death.

Igwe narrated that a friend of the victim, revealed that one OG lured the deceased to an unknown destination.

“We do not know who were involved in this dastardly act, but investigation would unravel the suspects.

“Eight persons have been arrested for their alleged murder of the victim, the principal suspect is still at large”

In an interview, the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr Iyke Elom, wondered why youth groups of the university community would resort to abduction and killing of a student

Elom restated that the dastardly act was not related to any rival cult clash, insisting that it was a vigilante issue.

“The suspects are not students of the university, it was not a cult clash as being insinuated by a section of the media.”
