Enugu Rangers is work in progress –GM

The General Manager/CEO of Enugu Ranger International Football Club, Amobi Ezeaku, says the team is a work in progress.

He said this on Wednesday while addressing  newsmen on the present situation of things at the club in Enugu.

Ezeaku said that the club had a workout plan and was not in a hurry to win the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.

“We are work in progress with a workout plan; so, we are not under any kind of pressure.

“We don’t want to derail from our work plan, we have young players with great future, ” he said.

Ezeaku said that the management of the club had secured partnership with three organisations in the state.

“We have secured partnerships with Kitchen pastry, a fashion designing outfit and Amachris kitchen in addition to our jersey sponsors Afrinvest.

“We want Rangers to be an international brand and we are working towards achieving the feat, ” he said.

The GM said that Rangers Foundation would be inaugurated next week in Enugu.

He added that Rangers was playing by the rules in line with FIFA, CAF and NFF.

Ezeaku commended  Gov. Peter Mbah for the  massive support for the club, especially for ensuring that it returned to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

“The governor has always heard us and  has promised to work on the stadium which I believe he will do.

“We will follow on that and I am sure he will do as he promised,” he said.

Ezeaku also thanked the media for their positive reportage of Rangers affairs, adding that the media have been very supportive of the club.
