I use human parts for ritual purposes-Herbalist

A suspected herbalist, Quadri Lawal, has told officials of the Ondo State Police Command that he cuts a deceased head into two, one part for his colleague, and kept the other for money-making ritual purposes.

Lawal and 14 other suspects were paraded at the police headquarters by the state Police Commissioner, Mr. Abayomi Oladapo, for various crimes including murder, stealing, threat to life, and other heinous crimes.

Speaking at the police headquarters in Akure, the state capital, Lawal said, “I was going in the bush as a hunter, and I saw the dead body of a woman which I informed Oluawo about. Oluawo pleaded I should cut some parts and bring them for him and I did. I only cut part of the head, I kept one in my house and gave the other part to Oluawo who intentionally requested the other.”

Lawal, said, that they usually mix the human parts with black soap and give them to people, for different purposes mainly for money making ritual.

Also paraded was a 39-year-old suspected okada snatcher, Dolapo Babalola, who confessed that before his arrest he had killed five motorcyclists including his cousin.

The fruit seller narrated how he killed some of his victims whenever they recognise him by dragging their motorcycles with them, hitting them with stick and cutting parts of their bodies for ritual.

CP Oladapo, told reporters that other suspects were involved in the kidnapping at Ofosu in Idanre, those who killed one Evangelist Opeyemi Oyelakin, and two herbalists who cut human parts for money ritual business.

The police boss said the command had also arrested a suspected hired assassin who confessed to having killed over 500 people and was paid to kill the owner of a pure water factory in the state.
